Dallas SuperLiga Indoor Soccer 5v5 Rules


Game Day Procedures

  • Player Check-In
    • All players must check in at the front desk before games
    • Players must have a valid Dallas SuperLiga ID and receive a wristband to participate
  • Referee Fees
    • All referee fees must be paid at the front desk prior to the game (cash or credit card)
    • Receipt given to coach/manager to hand to referee before game
  •  Game Protest
    • Any protest must be submitted to League Director - Peter.
    •  All protest will require a $50 deposit to submit.
    • If protest is successful , team will receive $50 deposit back and get a 3-0 win.
    • If protest is unsuccessful, team will NOT receive refund and score will remain as is.
    •  NO PROTEST WITH FRONT DESK!


Teams & Game

  • 5 players on field (4 + GK)
  • Roster max: 10 players
  • Minimum to start: 4
  • Game: 2 × 20-min halves (clock stops only for injuries/referee)
  • Unlimited on-the-fly subs


Field & Ball

  • Indoor turf with walls
  • Ball out of play if it hits ceiling, any netting, or restricted area
  • Required: shin guards, indoor/turf shoes, GK wears different color


Kickoff & Restarts

  • Home team gets first kickoff
  • Opponents must stay 3 feet away
  • Free kicks: 3 ft distance, taken within 4 seconds
  • Corner/kick-in: last touch rules
  • GK punts allowed; must leave penalty area before teammates play
  • Back-pass: GK cannot pick up deliberate pass


Scoring

  • Any player may score, including GK
  • Goals off walls are live


No Sliding

  • No sliding at all — tackles, blocks, or momentum slides


Wall Challenges

  • Challenges along the walls must be 1v1 only
  • No group challenges allowed
  • Violation = direct free kick or card (ref discretion)


Cards & Penalties

Blue

2 min down OR until goal scored

Yellow

5 min down OR until goal scored; carded player must sit full 5 min

Red

Player out remainder of game; team plays down rest of match

Shoutout Rule (MLS-Style Shootout)

  • Every 3 team fouls → opposing team gets a shootout
  • Ball at half-field, other players in opposing goal box
  • On referee whistle, ball is live, player executes shootout
  • Normal play continues after attempt


Safety

  • No sliding
  • No dangerous play near walls
  • Jewelry removed/taped
  • Ref can stop play anytime
  • Concussion: player removed immediately


League Points & Tiebreakers

  • Win: 3 | Draw: 1 | Loss: 0
  • Tiebreakers:
    1. Goal difference
    2. Goals scored
    3. Goals conceded
    4. Head-to-head
    5. Coin toss
